ADVISORY SERVICES
Managing Director, Advisory Services (Beijing or Shanghai)
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 10 years experience in investment banking or strategy consulting in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and cross-border transactions focused on China. Responsibilities include helping clients to license technologies, form strategic alliances and acquisitions, raise capital, and identify investment opportunities.Preference is for PRC nationals who are closely connected to the eco-system of commercial and government parties involved in development of alliances and acquisitions in China. Position is based in Beijing or Shanghai, with need to travel to other regions throughout China as required. Compensation includes base salary with significant upside based on contribution performance. Bi-lingual professionals with China experience are required.
Responsibilities:
- Leading all aspects of CGTI’s Advisory Services business.
- Developing an Advisory Services strategy that best meets the needs of CGTI’s partner clients, including defining the services provided and developing strategic relationships with venture and private equity firms, investment banks, consulting firms and other professional services organizations.
- Collaborating with CGTI’s Partner Relations team to identify and develop opportunities to support the Initiative’s partner client organizations.
- Recruiting, developing and managing a dedicated of approximately two-to-four professionals focused exclusively on the Advisory Services business.
- Providing exceptional value to Advisory Services’ partner clients, including the delivery of insights based upon CGTI’s in-depth understanding of market opportunities, identification of potential partners which best meet client needs, assessment of potential partner fit with client needs, facilitation of discussions with potential partners, and collaboration with third-party professional service firms to achieve client objectives.
- Working closely with CGTI’s strategic research team to leverage insights and knowledge developed through the Partner Program and other Initiative offerings.

Responsibilities will include leading and managing a team of 10+ Analysts to deliver high-quality and insightful consulting-style deliverables to CGTI clients. Candidates must possess strong analytic capabilities, have excellent communication skills, and share our passion for accelerating China’s dynamic greentech markets. Bi-lingual professionals with China experience are strongly preferred; however, foreign candidates with the right relevant experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with Managing Director to lead overall development of strategic research and advisory services projects across all sectors of the China Greentech Initiative.
- Drives the development of consulting-style strategic research deliverables across greentech sectors. Deliverables include a highly diverse range of strategic opportunity assessments that examine markets, competition, regulations and financing for all greentech sectors.
- Presents findings and co-facilitate Sector Working sessions with over 50 senior level participants from multinational and Chinese organizations.
- Leads content development and participates in government outreach sessions to sector-relevant Chinese ministries and international government agencies.
- Oversees the production of Continuous Market Updates for the relevant sector(s).

Responsibilities include helping senior executives strategically grow their greentech businesses. Candidates will possess an intense desire to develop long-term, trusted relationships with CEOs of leading companies and state-owned enterprises. Bi-lingual professionals with China experience are preferred. Foreign candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed new and renewal sales targets, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Forecast accurately on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Meet and exceed weekly activity targets across the life-cycle of sales and service
- Achieve efficiency of business development and client service through daily, proactive management of assigned Specialists, Partner Relations (inside sales)

Responsible for inside sales support and service of the Partners, supporting the activities of the Partner Relations and Research team. Measures of success include new and renewed sales, following processes defined by the MD, Partner Relations and MD, Research and Delivery, and receiving daily direction from the Partner Relations Principals. Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience and possess an intense desire to achieve sales targets, understand the needs of the buyers, influence decision-makers, and serve our clients.

- Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for 3-5 person business development team in Shanghai

OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATION
Director, Finance, Human Resources and Operations (Beijing)
Responsible for all aspects of financial management, human resource management and general administration. The successful candidate will be capable of leading a small and qualified team of administrative support staff in a dynamic, flat organization structure. Candidates will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, accounting and/or general administration positions of increased responsibility within a foreign corporation or entrepreneurial start-up environment. Candidates will have an intense desire to build world-class operations capabilities and work proactively for a global leadership team. Native Mandarin and advanced written and spoken English are essential for this position.
- Human resources administration:
- Recruiting: Identifying sources / channels, placing advertisements, select / manage relationships with recruiters, manage resumes, schedule interviews

Financial Analyst (Beijing)
Responsible for all financial analysis including budgeting, sales forecasting, development of proforma’s and financial forecasting. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience and an intense desire to build world-class operations capabilities for the Initiative. Responsibilities include:
- Develop annual budgets thru close collaboration with the MD’s
- Perform monthly reporting, including plan to actual and variance management
- Regular sales forecasting using information provided by the Partner Relations Team and with use of a CRM system
- Development of pro-forma financials and forecasts
- Develop “what if” analyses” on key questions of evolution of the business
