Seeking Outstanding Candidates for Strategic Research, Partner Relations and Operations Leadership and Staff Roles

The China Greentech Initiative has immediate opportunities for talented and driven professionals who desire to be leaders in understanding and accelerating China’s greentech markets. Building upon the success of The China Greentech Report 2009, this is a rare opportunity to be at the leading edge of the world’s biggest new greentech industry, helping to develop a business that is becoming the trusted advisor to many of the world’s leading greentech CEOs and policy advisors. Most positions are based in the Central Business District of Beijing, with easy access to subway, taxis and buses. A few of the Partner Relations and Business Development Staff will be based in Shanghai.

• Director, Strategic Research and Program Delivery: Responsible for leading all aspects of delivering the content underlying the Initiative’s Partner Program, including strategic research, partner meetings, report writing and related activities. Hires, develops and leads a multi-national research and delivery team of approximately 15 people. Successful applicants will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in strategy consulting or similar fields, superior analytical and communications skills, executive-level interpersonal skills, and exceptional team leader abilities. Native English and strong Mandarin fluency are required.

• Director, Partner Relations and Business Development: Responsible for managing the partner relations team, focusing on identifying, developing, on-boarding and retaining the Initiative’s partner organizations. This professional, by definition, will develop the trust and respect of senior executives. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of business development experience, and an intense desire to build a world-class business development organization of approximately 10 people, providing professional services to senior executives within the world’s leading greentech companies. English and Mandarin fluency is required.

• Strategic Research Staff: Multiple positions are available at the Manager, Senior Analyst and Analyst levels within the Initiative’s Strategic Research Team. Successful candidates will have strategy consulting, strategic research or comparable experience, commensurate with the position in which they apply. Required capabilities include strong research and analytical skills, great communications skills, and an intense interest in China’s greentech markets. Bilingual English and Mandarin fluency are required.

• Partner Relations and Business Development Staff: Multiple Partner Relations and Business Development positions are available within the China Greentech Initiative. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years business development experience, and an intense desire to develop long-term relationships with senior leaders within multinational and Chinese greentech organizations. English and Mandarin fluency is required.

• Manager, Operations: Responsible for administrative activities of the Initiative, including finance, human resources administration, business licenses, IT and office management. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience and an intense desire to build world-class operations capabilities for the Initiative. Native Mandarin and some English skills required.

• Manager, Project and Events Management: Responsible for planning and implementing all Initiative events, including partner working sessions, structured collaboration events and one annual major forum. Also responsible for all outbound communications to participating companies and policy advisors. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience, ability to work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders, project management experience, an attention to detail, and an interest in China greentech issues. Native English and some Mandarin skills required.

• Manager, Government, Market and Media Outreach: Responsible for brand development, market segmentation, message development by segment, and media and government outreach. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, along with a strong desire to build world-class brand awareness, marketing and messaging that earns the trust and respect of senior business and government leaders. Bilingual Mandarin and English skills required.
